maybe 100+ people report everything they find to him, in return for protection, or just because he's a friendly guy...

Many a truth is posted in sarcasm. Think about the logistics of what you are suggesting for a sec. Assuming this player has paid the administration off to allow multiple accounts (a huge assumption). These multiple accounts will require considerable human oversight in order to operate and synchronise the actions of defensive and offensive armies to allow the flags to all be transported to one base. Every account would require premium, and a sterady influx of black gems in order to operate with the explorers on premium. Yes, it's possible, but for these hundred accounts, you are likely looking in the region of £25,000 - £30,000 a month to keep them operational, plus this mysterious bribe.

Does that really sound more likely than that this person has friends in the game? Especially when you consider the monetary rewards from the tournament would not even come close to the necessary expenditure.

This isn't an email account. A game account is very different to an email setup. An email server does not care if your dozens of emails are all coming from the same IP address, or embedded with the processor ID in the header. A game server will detect when this occurs, and flag it up - usually to an automated detection system which alerts the administrators to any suspicious activity. It may even block it automatically.

It takes a lot more than a new email account to create a new account using the same computer, particularly if you wish it to stay.

You don't need hundreds of accounts. You could easily run half a dozen accounts on here. you only need to have one as premium.

If the others are not premium, then they are not using automated searching. That means the owning player would have to log in to each one in turn and manually direct the explorers. That would take quite a bit of time, and drop red flags all over the server.

Yes, it really is hillarious how clueless I was, isn't it. Especially as I was answering another player who asked how to complete the quest. Knowing the right answers to queastions is absolutely hilarious. Good job nobody ever laughs like that at you :)

I know for a fact that you are wrong on this.

Then you will have to explain how this server is identical to a mail server, and uses the same business model and internal operations. I'm happy to back my explanations up with background detail. Can you do the same?

You will also need to explain what those accounts that have been 'banned for multiboxing' really are. Since if the server does not care how many accounts you have, and has no way of tracking them - as you claim - then they cannot by a simple process of elimination, really be players who had multiple accounts at the same time.

why pay for premium all the time? just switch ot on when you need it- like say for a tournie.

Doesn't work like that. If you don't switch the premium on before the deadline, you lose it forever. You are still looking at £20,000 - £30,000 in payment for these hundred accounts for the tournament. I bet you honestly believe players will pay that amount just to win a tournament - and that nobody could possibly have a hundred friends.

But Vika -you've been here 19 days and obviously know all there is to know about the game.....

Better than being here for years and not knowing jack shit :)

EDIT to deal with Bastedo's edit:

But Vika -you've been here 19 days, you have 1 city and you are on 2.8 m points and obviously know all there is to know about the game. Please do tell us the secret of your success and knowledge....

I have a background in coding for and with these sorts of systems. Not for game use, but the same fundamentasl concepts apply. There are only so many ways you can intelligently code such a system, when every clock cycle in a loop really does count. When you know how the man behind the curtain does things, (and how said person's equipment operates) you don't have to know every finer point of a specific system in order to understand how that system is operating.

It is easy to have different accounts using different e-mail addies. Sure you can search the ip- unless it uses a general ip address such as many email providers use-and you only log in one account at a time. Then not so easy to pick up :)

If that occurs, then the main account will also use the same range of IP addresses. Assigned IPs only reset when the ISP's router resets, not every time you log on or off a server. When an IP is assigned to your device, it is assigned to that device ID or phone number for a set period of time determined by your isp.

Session data on a remote server is a completely different layer. IP data is the basic protocol layer at the base of the internet. Accounts using this method will flag up by simple automated coding methods within a short space of time - and we already know this system is not particularly lenient on possible multiboxing even within the same isp range. A simple perousal of the back posts of the forum will spell that out loud and clear. You also have the advantage with ADSL accounts, that the server gains some data as to the unique user identity dfrom the isp as well, in the packet header. The only ways around that are to use a proxy, a VPN, or illegally hack another person's internet connection. All three methods involve a fair bit of work, and would have to be set up for each separate account, reliably switched between. Make a mistake and you leave paw prints on the server.

It may not pick up the first log in, or the second, or third, but like a trail of breadcrumbs, each log in supplies the server wth more data to draw comparisons from.

Yet clearly you can have different accounts using different e-mail adds each time.

See above for a brief overview of how these are detected and removed. It may take a little time, but certainly would be removed between one tournament and the next.

But well done on making such a determined defence for someone you clearly know so well

Actually, I don't know the person at all. I just take a dim view of the use of libel and slander to tar anyone's name. Especially when there is not a shred of proof present - just heresay. I'd do the same thing in your defense.

Hi Vika.

It seems you do not know anything about this game or server because you are new!

OH wait , ermmm you do not need experience in my lands to know browers games and servers it could be something you have worked with in the past, or your job or other games you have played. OH silly me never thought of that.

If Only I was to use my brain beofore I spoke. Or even read what you put, or listened to other people.

On the plus side, at least we now know why this individual believes that having friends numbering in double figures or higher is beyond the realm of possibility. :)

bastedo i think i can translate and clarify its not even the ip address the system picks up it is the mac address of your pc, tablet or even mobile phone, you seriously believe that a system that had me banned for multiboxing as my friend used my laptop to set an account up would allow even a player like gloomyhatred to have more than one account, do be serious and go back to pc school!

on another note and having spoke to gloomy in game, YES he does have a lot of friends because unlike you he is a genuine nice person and yes i have ALLOWED gloomy to take my flags as i wasn't going to need them and it saves idiots like you getting rewards that means when they lose they have to "throw their dummy out of the pram". Perhaps if you tried being nice to gloomy he might actually be nice to you. stop being so vindictive and just play the game i've looked through this forum on several occasions and its always you moaning about gloomy think thats a one man hate campaign and i know you'll lose cos as previously stated gloomyhatred is actually a decent person that didn't need to threaten me he just asked for my flag

no you just annoyed the crap out of him whilst hiding away like the coward you are, thats why your clan-mates are also now getting it from me too seeing as you think you can slag everyone off and get away with it

shame your attitude isn't as small as your clan is, there might not be a problem then!

try attacking one of my clan-mates see what happens

i thought the point of this game was to attack people

1000 times smaller ha you make me laugh
my army rating is only 120 million and
SiZhe is no more than 20 times smaller at around 6 million army rating
shows how clever your entire clan is you can't even do simple multiplication can you
sent support that was due to arrive 30 minutes after my attack and couldn't have even dealt with 5000 mercenarys anyway
when faced with 50K even clan leader withdrew support and left him to face them alone

he could have dealt with the first attack seeing as he has had that pit since i started game and only has level 1 tower and fort in it, very poor defense for a level 4 player i think

notice i didn't see you even attempt to send assistance but then it takes a long time to send them front the bottom of the map doesn't it

like i said your attitude needs to change you said a lot of things on here that would have got your head kicked off your shoulders if you even tried to say them to my face,

you don't have a clue about me or what i do with my life, shame the most exciting thing you do is slag people of in the confines of a internet forum, your the one that made it the way it is through your lack of understanding

just to clarify things, i don't need to make up for anything i'm 6 foot 4, married to an absolutly stunning woman, have three children between the ages of 5 to 14, exercise regularly in my own gym (benchpress 65kg 50 times 4 times daily) and my son could take bastedo's head of his shoulders (he does same reps with 30kg daily at age 12)

seems to me like bastedo is making up for what he wouldn't do in real life and very much doubt he would have the balls to speak to my face like he types on here, i actually think he would cross to the other side of the road if he saw me walking towards him on a dark night

oh i forgot to mention i have also recently given up amateur mma fighting so i can concentrate on my day job

where is the threat in that would and if don't have anything to do with threating they are staements of what MIGHT have happened IF you had

you decide how you read things thats fine

i have no intention of raising up to you anymore

computer game with a spec faced nerd the other end trying to make out they are a big man....... ooooo i am scared

if i was you i would just keep comments to within the gme you started bringing life into a game...just shows the childish attitude

Just as well i'm 6'6", can bench press 75kg 100 times 8 times a day, and am a professional mma fighter. PS. I can also spell

such a shame a mma fighter that can't do simple maths lol

suppose its hard when you have your head pummeled constantly

if you are what you say you that you are why would you be sulking that someone is better than you anyway the first rule of any fight is to prepare for defeat
