Transfer Mission Times

So I open a gate/tunnel and it takes 5 minutes - straightforward, no problem!!

Then I try to send a transfer of resources or troops from another city/outer domain to that city which takes a lot longer than 5 minutes (obviously)..

So my question = why can't they set off because when they arrive the gates are opened?
even if not they will come home disappointed.

This needs fixing please.

You need to wait until the gate is open and only then you can send your missions to that city.
