battle of the day

#1 Post by BabaJaga23 »

The ruins of level 7 had long inspired fear among the kingdom's inhabitants. It was said that within their heart lay treasures from centuries past, but also powerful monsters, born from the dark magic of ancient mages. Many armies attempted to conquer this place—none returned unscathed.

Only a hero, renowned for his cunning and courage, gathered a mighty army—knights, mages, and elven archers—to his banners. The host set out at dawn, when mist filled the valley like the ghosts of the fallen. As soon as they crossed the ruins, the earth shook, and monsters emerged from the darkness—stone golems, shadows of former warriors, and enormous fire-breathing beasts.

The battle raged for hours. Steel clashed against stone, screams mingled with the roars of damned creatures. As the sun began to set, Fox stood atop the ruined tower and gave his final command. His army launched a massive attack – the mages split the sky with lightning, and the warriors charged forward with full force.

Then all was silent. The earth cracked, and the ruins tumbled down, swallowing the remnants of monsters and dark power. A place cursed for centuries was destroyed by an army led by the hero Fox.

From that day on, only memories remained – and the legend of the warrior who ended an era of terror.

The wind howled across the broken plains as the Level 7 ruins loomed in the distance—ancient, jagged, and pulsing with a dark energy that seemed alive. Few dared approach them. Entire armies had vanished trying.
But this time was different.
At the front of the massive force stood Lisa, the hero whose name had begun to echo across kingdoms. She tightened her grip on her blade, eyes fixed on the ruins. Behind her stretched an army unlike any ever assembled—300,000 strong. Carriers marched in disciplined lines, hauling supplies and siege tools. Swordsmen shimmered in steel, cavalry units stamped impatiently atop armored beasts, and above them circled great war birds, their wings casting moving shadows across the land. And trailing behind, calm and resolute, stood 100,000 healers, glowing faintly with restorative magic.
Lisa raised her sword.
“Today, we end this.”
The ground trembled as the army surged forward.

The ruins responded instantly.
From the cracked stone gates poured monsters—twisted creatures born of shadow and decay. Towering brutes with molten eyes, crawling horrors with too many limbs, and shrieking winged beasts filled the sky. The air itself seemed poisoned by their presence.
The first clash was thunderous.
Swords met claws. Cavalry charged through waves of monsters, their momentum crushing anything in their path. Birds dove from above, tearing through flying enemies while releasing piercing cries that disoriented the foe. Carriers, though not meant for combat, adapted—setting up barricades and delivering weapons with incredible speed.
Lisa plunged straight into the chaos.
She moved like lightning, cutting through monsters with precision and fury. Wherever she went, the line held. Her presence alone seemed to strengthen the army’s resolve.
But the ruins had not yet revealed their true power.

From deep within, something stirred.
The ground split open, and a colossal monster emerged—a guardian of the ruins. Its body was a mass of stone and darkness, glowing veins of energy running through it. With one swing, it wiped out entire squads. Its roar shook the battlefield.
For a moment, even the army hesitated.
Lisa didn’t.
“Hold the line!” she shouted.
The healers rushed forward, their magic forming waves of light that restored the wounded and revived the fallen. The army steadied. Cavalry regrouped. Birds circled higher, waiting.
Lisa charged the guardian.
Each strike against it felt like hitting a mountain, but she didn’t stop. The monster retaliated, its blows devastating—but every time Lisa faltered, a healer’s light brought her back. Every time the army weakened, they rallied again.
Then she saw it—the core.
Deep within the creature’s chest pulsed a dark crystal.
“That’s it…” she whispered.
With a final surge of strength, Lisa leapt, dodging a crushing strike and driving her blade straight into the glowing core.
For a heartbeat, everything went silent.
Then—
The guardian shattered.

The tide turned instantly.
Without their protector, the monsters faltered. The army advanced with renewed fury, pushing into the ruins themselves. One by one, the remaining creatures fell until the battlefield grew quiet.
The Level 7 ruins were no more.

As the dust settled, a strange glow began to emanate from the broken structures. From the remains, rewards emerged—dark, gleaming stones radiating power.
Black gems.
The army gathered, exhausted but victorious. The cost had been high, but the triumph was undeniable.
Lisa stood at the center, holding one of the gems in her hand. It pulsed faintly, as if recognizing her strength.
A soldier approached. “We did it… the ruins are destroyed.”
Lisa nodded, looking over her army—the carriers, the swords, the cavalry, the birds circling above, and the healers tending to the last of the wounded.
“No,” she said quietly. “We did more than that.”
She looked back at the ruins—now silent, powerless.
“We proved they could fall.”
The wind no longer howled.
For the first time in ages, the land was at peace—and the legend of Lisa and her unstoppable army had only just begun.
