The Arch-Ruin Returned — and I Answered Again

#1 Post by Drayke »

The wasteland should have remained dead.

After my first purge, after the Arch-Ruin’s corrupted bones were scattered across the scorched plains, I descended once more into the deep caverns where the Chimera race thrives. We are born of pressure, shadow, and silence. The surface world is fragile; the underground is eternal.

But corruption echoes.

One year after the first annihilation, tremors rippled through the stone halls of the underworld. The earth above shuddered like a dying beast. My scouts—pale-eyed, silent, shaped by the darkness—returned with a single message:

The Arch-Ruin had risen again.

Not rebuilt.
Not repaired.
Reborn.

And this time, the surface was already in chaos.

The Royal Flag Tournament had begun—an event that turns the entire server into a battlefield of ambition. Flags became currency, power, prestige. Every faction hunted them. Every monster stirred from its lair. The corrupted guardians of the wasteland grew more aggressive, driven mad by the tournament’s energy. They raided settlements, ambushed caravans, and stole flags with unprecedented ferocity.

The Arch-Ruin fed on this chaos.
It grew stronger from it.
It believed the Chimera would remain below.

It forgot that we are the darkness.

I summoned my armies. Chimera Warriors sharpened their bone-forged blades; Burrowers slithered beneath the earth, ready to erupt from below; Abyssal Hulks stirred in the deep, their roars cracking ancient stone.

And at the front of them all stood Draxil the Relentless.

Commander of the Chimera host.
Breaker of fortresses.
A creature carved from shadow and fury, whose name alone makes the surface tremble.

But this time, Draxil carried more than his rage.

On his left arm gleamed the God’s Shield—a relic older than the wasteland itself, forged from divine metal and corrupted by Chimera rituals. Its surface shimmered with shifting runes, absorbing every blow, every spell, every scream.

In his right hand burned the Flair of Injuries—a weapon that did not cut flesh, but pain itself. Every strike amplified suffering, turning wounds into agony, agony into paralysis, paralysis into death. The air around it rippled with invisible torment.

Draxil bowed his head only once—to me—and then raised the burning spear.

“We rise,” he growled.

And the earth obeyed.

The assault began before dawn, when the sky was still drowning in night. My forces erupted from beneath the Arch-Ruin’s outer walls, shattering stone and guardian alike. Burrowers dragged defenders screaming into the earth; Warriors carved through corrupted flesh with silent precision; Abyssal Hulks tore down towers with their bare hands.

Draxil led the first charge.

As the battle expanded across the wasteland, the corruption unleashed its hidden reserves. Massive stone constructs emerged from beneath the shattered ruins, their bodies infused with unstable energy gathered during the Royal Flag Tournament. They moved with unnatural speed, crushing entire formations and scattering lesser warriors. For a moment, the battlefield became a storm of dust, shattered rock, and corrupted fire. Yet the Chimera host did not falter. Burrowers burst from beneath the constructs, dragging them into collapsing tunnels, while Abyssal Hulks met them head-on in clashes that echoed for miles. Above the chaos, Draxil advanced without slowing his stride, his shield glowing brighter with every impact, his spear leaving trails of agonizing energy through the darkness. What the enemy believed was their final defense became only another obstacle on the path to annihilation.

The God’s Shield absorbed volleys of corrupted magic, turning them into harmless sparks. The Flair of Injuries carved through champions, their screams echoing across the wasteland as pain itself devoured them. Every strike he delivered was a sentence; every step he took was a prophecy.

The battlefield reports streamed in:

Resistance: overwhelming.

Defenses: reinforced.

Monsters: hyper‑aggressive due to the Royal Flag Tournament.

Flags stolen: multiple.

Treasury: swollen with fresh Black Gems.

Outcome: unchanged.

Pain is evolution.

I ordered the second surge. Chimera magic—raw, primal, born from the pressure of the deep—flooded the battlefield. Shadows thickened into blades. The ground itself became a weapon. The Arch-Ruin’s guardians fought with renewed fury, but their strength meant nothing against creatures who had never known fear.

When the central defenses cracked, Draxil roared a command that shook the sky.

My elite forces surged forward. I advanced personally, the shadows bending around me like living armor. The heart of the Ruin pulsed with corrupted energy, but it dimmed as I approached. Darkness recognizes its origin.

Draxil and I tore through the final guardians together—his divine-corrupted shield and pain-forged spear, my claws and shadow magic. Smoke choked the air. The earth trembled. And then—

Silence.

The final battle report appeared:

Arch-Ruin annihilated.
Enemy forces: 0.
Treasury captured: more Black Gems than ever, thousands of gold.
Flags recovered: all stolen banners.
Victory: inevitable.

I secured every battle report, every allied contribution, every moment of the purge. Within the required timeframe, I posted the chronicle and sent formal confirmation to the Forum Moderator and Administration.

The reward arrived swiftly.
As it should.

But rewards are fleeting.
The deep remembers.

The Arch-Ruin has now fallen twice. It may rise again—corruption is stubborn, foolish, and blind. But each time it returns, the Chimera will rise from the depths, and Draxil the Relentless, armed with the God’s Shield and the Flair of Injuries, will lead the charge.

Let the wasteland remember this truth:

No fortress, no corruption, no resurrected abomination can defy a Chimera Lord who commands the darkness beneath the earth.

For the second annihilation of the arch-ruin the reward is given as well. Please add one more paragraph of the battle itself.
