Resource choice

While performing the robbery, perhaps we can select which resources we want stolen?

Like 10% wood & 90% gold
or, 100% stone
or, 25% gold & 25% wood & 25% rock & 25% Iron
(% of carrier's capacity)

How are the resources to be stolen selected anyway?
EDIT: By the above question I meant: How does the game decide how much of each resource is stolen when the amount that can be stolen is greater that the attacking carrier's capacity?
Eg: 1 carrier attacks a city with 50 of each resource steal-able (see my post below)

Cannot be selected. You can only rob 50% of everything

50% of resources in Warehouses and Market minus those in Cache are available for stealing

I know that. I was talking about resources which can be stolen.

Suppose a city has 100 gold, 100 wood and 100 stone.
Only 50 of each can be stolen as you said (disregarding cache)

I send 1 carrier, who has 50 capacity.
Will he steal 50 gold? No.
I don't know how it is selected, but he will steal bit of all available resources.
My idea was that I can select that only gold to be stolen (100% gold)
Did you guys miss this:
(% of carrier's capacity)

PS: If I sent 2 carriers and selected 100% gold, the other resources would be robbed as they are now.
i.e., 1st the gold would be stolen. When all gold was taken(100%=50 gold in this case), the remaining 1 carrier would rob the remaining resources as they do now.

That would be a nice suggestion but it would also make some problems.

I doubt the admins of the game would be interested in making the change you suggest. as for how the selection is made my guess would be math. if you need 6 carriers to take everything and you only have 1 that's roughly 16.67% of carriers needed so likely something like 17% gold/wood and 16% of stone would be taken to make the total 50 but a person would have to write down the totals and check after a robbery to see if this is how it does work.

I just put it here if it seems like a good idea, and the rest is up to the developers :)

It would really help when I'm really deficit in one resource and 16% carrier capacity is not wasted on another resource I have plenty of.

Problem will be like there is 201347 gold in a city
Now you need 30000 gold
You dont know what is 30000 out of 201347[Percentage}
Now you have to do maths to solve this and it will take you some time and there is also chance that you may not exactly get 30000 gold

I thought about this too, and my first idea was to specify exact amounts after spying. But that too would be more problematic.
In my suggestion, by default all resources to steal will be set to 20% (100/5). After the 20%, it would adjust to how the resources are present & steal as they do now. So the present system would be there, my idea would be just an extra feature.

So, if there is more gold than other resources, 100% gold will steal only gold. However if there is less gold, after taking all the gold, the other resources would be stolen as they're done now. So, no wastage. :D

And % is of carriers capacity. To steal 30000 gold, send carriers having a capacity of 30000 & select 100% gold. 100% of your carriers will carry gold, unless there is less than 30000 gold, in which case after stealing all available gold they will steal other resources as they do now.

And the "have to do maths" argument was weak. There is a calculator present in all platforms in which the game has been released (Windows, iOS, Android too hopefully).
Open the calculator in Windows & choose scientific mode. You'll get the % in less than 10 seconds (14.9%) .

It's really simple, 1 gold, 1 wood, 1 stone, 1 crops, 1 iron, 1 gold, 1 wood, 1 stone, etc.
That is how carriers select what they take.

You would have known this if you would have been reading in the encyclopedia more.
