I think players should be able to donate direct to the clan warehouse, let us share our excess resources

Re: clan warehouse
The market allows for sharing of resources within the game's rules.
One could sell excess very low, while buying the same product (or another) at a high price to return gold to the player who needs resources. This gold they can use to continue to buy at very low prices from the player with excess. (It also works in a way that both players have to play instead of one sending to the other, see?)
The Clan Warehouse as it stands is allowing for (automatically) 10% of all looted resources from missions (that would otherwise be lost, eg. before it existed) to be stored and shared fluidly between clan members.
I'm not writing how things work to try to sound smart explaining it because I'm sure you know how the looting and markets work, but I try to perhaps shed light on how things have evolved from design looking at long term play.
Consider it the "balance" of just being able to stack resources from many players to one -- as many other games do, to which I find gimmicky.
And maybe another ward attempt to multi-boxing (as the warehouse storage system is and the mission sending, but new bots have evidently gotten around them).

For the king, for the land, for the mountains
For the green valleys where dragons fly
For the glory, the power to win the black lord
I will search for the Emerald Sword!
