Staged Battle - How many are allowed?

Battle 1: 25th August 2017
Attacker: tango2014
Defender: DrEvil_ae

Battle 2: 26th August 2017
Attacker: cillin
Defender: DrEvil_ae

The question is how many staged battles are allowed before a player is banned?
Also, if these players (defender in particular) are punished, will it be considered as a first offence or would these two battles be treated as two separate staged battles and would be punished accordingly.
