Does anyone know of a good guide that would help one decide what type of hero, with what skills to choose?
Nop
one should chose his hero based on his style of playing.
every hero has some strong points, some weak points, advantages and disadvantages.
but i think in general:
Guru-trader is a must for those who want a big army
Warrior-Paladin-Scout for those who focus on ruin hunting
Necromancer-illusionist for those who like attacking other players (since basically they'll be building a lot of mages)
selecting skills should be obvious depending on each class. and it could also help to take into consideration, that one person may have more than one hero, each have their own use
