My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

normally,people would build a capital on native terrain of their own races,yet I see a lot of big players who build capital on steppe,I wonder why?does it -50 attack value from steppe is more important than +25 defence value to all troops?

Steppes give +200% crops -- so it can be good terrain for a troop-training city. Similarly, deserts give +70% gold & +50% iron.
