Ranking System

Hi All,
My clan and I are surrounded by a very large clan with all lvl 5 players. They have been level 5 players for much longer than we have and consequently have enourmous armies. For example 80000-25000-23000-22000-20000-11000-100000-10000, plus there Heroes.
There have been a number of instances in my clan that as soon as a player reaches lvl 5 they are attacked to such an extent that they loose there level five and go back to level four. If this happened once it would not be a problem. But it has happened to the same player, three times. And other players as well.
Even having ancient protection has no effect. In fact, it makes a good target. With an army the size of the one above, you can attack an ancients protected city and loose no troops. Add a hero onto that and the rewards are very appealing.
So the spells and protections do nothing to help new lvl 5 players. It gives them no chance to build up.
We can't keep our cities on lock-down indefinitely. Nor can we take the offensive. As our clans summed army doesn't even come close to the size of the one above. Should our clan (with extra allies) launch an attack on but one of that players cities, we could be a) be wiped out in the attempt and b) face reprisals from their clan.
We cannot keep playing like this. We can't launch any missions, participate in tournaments or launch attacks against ruins.
In light of all these occurances, would it be possible to consider increasing the number of ranks above level 5? If players have been level 5 for two months, they can wipe out other players who have only just arrived. Perhaps, if they increased the number of ranks above level 5, but allowed them to attack level 5 ruins or something, it would protect the new level 5 players more and allow us to enjoy the game.
