My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

Hey guys. Got a question regarding playing.
At the early stages on the new server - what is the most efficient way of growing? Should I focus on production facilities instead of labs on the areas surrounding the city? What's the best approach? Any advices would be much appreciated.

It's hard to get resources, but science is key to unlocking everything. I guess it's a balance until you can get robbing resources. Try and follow the quests to keep the resources coming in
