My Lands: Black Gem Hunting

Does the game get any faster/better? Is there a way to tech upgrade resources fields? 5 hrs to build the next lvl and I gain 2/hr... whats the point.
I want to like this game but it seems to shallow and empty. I would would gladly pay to play but I dont see why I should... log in once/twice a day for like 3 min doesnt seem like its worth the money....Can some1 help me figure this out plz

Yes it gets faster and better. The early stages are quite boring.

Once you have an army and your attacking ruins and other people is the first step of it getting better.

Then you get a hero and thats pretty exciting stuff. Then you get 2 heroes and its even better.

then you start really attacking people and having proper wars. killing aggressive ruins and monster heroes.

etc etc etc

The game does start very very slowly as it teaches you skills and is always evolving until you reach the top
