Camps just what are they good for ?

As my title says, what use are they really, I set one up today and it had a grand total of 7k or so storage, so not enough to keep an army alive for any amount of time or even to send an army out to hit ruins or w/e.

I know the camp on a ruin trick so yes that's one use for them but its pretty limited and am pretty sure that was an unintended use for em in the first place.

Please let me know if there's a way to increase the amount of storage on em when you set one up or if you have any real use for them that am not seeing.

I've was thinking about creating an camp next to our clan castle, so travel time for my hero to the clan castle would be shortened. (more exp/day using the arena)

Other big uses... I dunno. Just make an camp, send in enough resources (gold), do your thing, move army back to an city and remove the camp?

You can always send gold/resources to them. I use them to get close to enemy players I want to hit and then make fast attacks from the camp instead of across the map from my base.

While it's "encamping" try sending gold to fund your troops for whatever you plan to do.
Camps come with 50 merchants, so whatever you rob to there, you can ship off to your bases.

Camps are more of landing/lift off points, they're not supposed to be anything permanent.
