Lack of ruins of your rank!
I am again struggling to find ruins in my rank; is it just me or do you seem to get all the ones that you can't attack!!

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
you are 3 rank so you can find 1-4 (your rank+1) lvl ruins and also 7 archi-ruin. At every kingdom there are up to 6(or 7 dont remember exactly) ruins any lvls (randomly). So there can be kindroms even with 6 ruins first(or any) ranks.
If you need ruins for robbery (not for quest finding ruins current lvl) you can ask nearest players higher rank for that. They will help you with pleasure.

Yep, my clan is great with that but unfortunately the majority are not near me so that means I generally get to the ruins when they have already been robbed! I always return the favour too and send reports of lower rank to the clan but I guess they have simmilar issues with me! Its just frustrating that I seem to find lots of L1 and L2 ruins
Maybe I've already robbed my level then and need to move up

well there is 73 x 22=1573 that means there is a 5 in 1573 chance that you will get the ruin you want so i suggest that you revisit squares sevral times that means you will have 3 in 63 chance of getting a better ruinangetrace wrote:I am again struggling to find ruins in my rank; is it just me or do you seem to get all the ones that you can't attack!!

so you could explore every square 3 times or 1 in every bigger square once
hope you like my advice tnx takeover

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
I'm getting utterly fed up with the lack of ruins of my level, to the point that I'm seriously thinking it's time to quit!
I've searched for more than two days with at least 30 explorers running at a time and I've found heaps of level five ruins and a bunch of lower level ones, but no level 4 ruins. Now I get that it's random, but on one map I have three lower level ruins and three level five ruins visible. It seems to be a big issue that if there are not many players of different ranks in an area then you will in time only end up with ruins that cant be attacked by anyone. It sux so much to have troops abandoning due to lack of wages because there is nothing at all within three kingdoms that can be attacked....
I wonder how many other players have left the game for this reason?

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
Well. Lets think about this very simply for a moment.
Assuming all ruins are equally random chance to pop-up ( excluding lvl 7 )
Then that means if you're any rank besides Suzerain then you can only probably battle 16.67% of the ruins on the map at any given time.
In other words, only 16.67% of the ruins you find you'll be able to attack. ( 33% or 1 third for Suzerains )
It's pretty low, which seems to fit your complaint.
It's really just how the math works.

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
why is it we can only attack ruins of our level? or attack monsters twice in 24hrs? I get why there would be restrictions on attacking other players out of your rank level and why there is a limit on how often you can attack someone's cities but why are the monsters being protected

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
You have it slightly incorrect. You can attack any ruins ( or players ) you want as long as their are your rank or higher. Anything less, is protected by the Honor Code. If this wasn't in place there would be all sorts of abuse.KygerLitor wrote:why is it we can only attack ruins of our level?
It is an inherent rule in the game for any domain being attacked. Even on a neutral mine or pit, you can only attack it twice per day. It's not that it is against players, it is against the piece of land itself. Say you attack a Salt Lake twice and then it switches owners, you still will not be able to attack it even though a different player name now owns it. It adds some strategy so that you must decide if these are the attacks you really want to land for the day, and actually helps the casual player in the long run. There is also strategy in using this mechanic to your advantage. If someone has attacked your domain twice already, know that you have 24 hours until they can attack it, so you're safe from that player there.KygerLitor wrote:or attack monsters twice in 24hrs? as I said, I do get why there is a rule that stronger players can not attack those who are of lower rank and most likely would not be able to defend themselves against stronger players. I think that is totally fair. I just do not understand why it is that way for monsters, personally I think they should be fair game for all of us

and for myself personally I'm lucky if I can survive attacking a ruin of my own level, higher level ruins are out of my skill set and I'd only get massacred

You underestimate the conviction higher ranked players have for eating ruins. If they were allowed to attack lower level ruins, there would be none left for you. This is why there are only limited time spells to break the honor rule for them for up to 12 hours.
Also you might not understand the concept of a ruin/camp trap yet, but this would allow higher ranked players to indirectly battle with a lower ranked player's army by himself all the time.
Secondly, follow your same logic but in reverse. Obviously attacking a higher level is too much for you, so attacking a lower ranked is too easy. It's why you're not allowed.

Re: Lack of ruins of your rank!
have not run into the ruin/camp trap yet but it doesn't sound pleasant. thanks for the education
I figured there would be some players who would attack any/all ruins but thought the percentage of higher ranking players would be minimal as there is more of a challenge, and more of a pay off in gems, attacking higher level ruins then lower. at least that has been my limited experience since I don't think I've come across a Lv I ruin with any more than 2 gems and have only found one Lv II with more than 10. is there a limited # of ruins? I thought I had read in the encyclopedia that every time a ruin was destroyed another one was generated somewhere in the kingdom to replace it.
