magic?
i play this game for a while. but still don't understand how level 3 player can collect 30-33 million gold for auction 2-3 times a week. there are some tricks i don't know about? i attack ruins. on good day i collect 1.5-2 millions. but it would take weeks to collect enough gold to bid in auctions. so i am hoping that our dear administration will tell us those tricks how to gain so much gold in few day

Re: magic?
If you can store 1.5M Gold in your warehouses then you can save 1.5M iron as well.
1.5M Iron = 6M Gold when exchanged.
I am seeing players who have warehouse capacity of 8M - 10M when converted it is equivalent of 24-30M Gold.
It will help if your race is Knights.

Re: magic?
? you are probably some kind of genius in your village? to pay 30 millions for auction, you need 7.5 millions iron.. which costs around 90 millions. and you do that 2-3 times a week. so you need 180-270 millions gold. hm... do we just type this digits and we get this amount of gold into account?

Re: magic?
I ask you to consider: what makes you think a Master Rank (3*) player should be able to compete in gold auction with the top players?
How should top rank players feel if: small, new, non-developed players could win auction just as much as they?
My short answer in response to your question is: As a 3* player, you won't. (without a clan backing you with their reserves of gold)
The server is growing in years and top players able to stack gold to bring auctions higher and higher.
On the US server auctions are much lower -- you can also verify this increase if you play on the RU servers (since they are also older, allowing players to stack more gold and raise auctions)
EDIT: TejasPatel is on my ignore list, so I didn't see his message -- but I glimpsed it and he does have a point, though I don't recommend exchange, but one could stack iron and have others purchase it when it comes time for you to attempt auction bids.
Regardless, expecting to compete as a 3* player in Black Gem auction is to eat well for 1 day and expect to be able to call yourself healthy.

Re: magic?
Surprisingly their are quite a few lower level players and weak 5* in the auction now a days.
Many are multiboxers or supported by clans, but their are also many who are not.
I don't understand it, but their are still ruin farmers out there who only play to bid in the auction.
I've seen them for years. They never build troops, or do much of anything.
Just take bg from the server and give nothing back
Their version of enjoyment confuses me, but whatever. Its their life.

Re: magic?
Sorry Niko_no I should have helped with your question a bit more.
I would suggest making friends with a good 5* player. Doesn't have to be at the top, just very active and social.
Any smart 5* will take the time to feed you ruins all day long.
I could give you 10 + 3* right now if you were close. I'm sure Tejas and Sliph could aswell.
If you're active passing the 2 mill mark in one day would be easy with those numbers.

I am not sure it is fair to say they take and give nothing back.Nightchill wrote: I don't understand it, but their are still ruin farmers out there who only play to bid in the auction.

Not sure what you and I "give back".
It is a play-style, passive and economy based. (After all, our UK server is technically Mining)
You and I both know this game is played over years, so instead of buying gems for real money or stressing over ruin and lake competition, a slow and steady approach to accumulating gems via market without conflict is a valid strategy.
Perhaps in a few years they will have thousands of gems to then commit to artifacts, heroes, army, structures -- or even their quests, but it will be done through persistence.
Not all players want to become Suzerain, have a large army, or battle -- the city building and resources appeals to them.*
To cast it in negative light is a bit pretentious.
For us on the UK portal the strategy is less pronounced since we only have one server -- but for example on the RU portal, there are many servers.
Perhaps a player wants to choose one to main and the others he just logs in to passively accrue gold and attempt to bid -- and with these gems won he can transfer them via the Portal Purse to the server with his main, essentially stacking the gems to one realm.
Once you think about this it makes a lot more sense, but also doesn't mean it can't be a viable plan for someone here on UK.
(Also remember merchants can travel even while gates are closed -- so the freedom/flexibility granted and ability to close gates for long periods without an army that yearns to venture forth for ruins and salary, it lays the groundwork for quite a nice stress-free play style.)
*Though I dislike the small players who expect larger players to take care of them and feed them like babies with a Silver Spoon
