It was early in the morning and my scouts were hurrying back from their overnight explorations.
As I was gettting ready to read the morning reports one explorer came bursting in with news of a massive arch-ruin on the horizon.

I sent my spies to look into it. The report they gave was that there were hordes and hordes of monsters in the ruin
but they also saw the monsters taking loads of the fabled black gems into the ruin.
I started to mobilize my troops but soon realized I was massively outnumbered and started reaching out to neibouring rulers for help.
I quickly received a reply from the mighty ruler sumrak. We quickly worked out an agreement and concluded alliances so we could map out a path to victory over the beasts. We quickly cast spells on our heroes.

and with battle calculations all done, I sent my army out to meet up with sumrak's hero and army and onto the ruin. The monsters had a special magic on that was slowing our progress down to half but we kept trudging on dreaming of the massive treasures and wonderful jewels that the ruin may hold. It seemed to take forever to get there but in reality it has only been 6 hours from the time
my explorers had found the ruin to now. As we were about to engage the beasts, a sudden magic overwhelmed our
troops and many, many troops just turned and ran as fast and far as the could. The look of terror on their faces is something that I will never forget. As my hero turned to re-asses our troops it looked like 9 out of 10 troops may have abandoned their positions.

In the next moment sumrak's hero gave a wave of his hand and many of the monster troops turned tail and ran. We gathered up who was left and engaged the monsters in a massive battle. What seemed like minutes but would have been hours of fighting we finally triumphed over the beasts and banished them back to the world they came from.
We divided up the treasure and sumrak's hero took the gems as my hero hadn't been trained in the science of the crystals. As we were about to leave we found the secret inner sanctum that held the most sacred resource in the land, Black Gems, we split them between us and found that there were over 230% more than the biggest
ruins we have ever encountered.

As we left the arch-ruin we met up with the troops that had run off from the magic the
monster hero had cast. Our healers had done their job and resurrected any fallen troops and headed home with no losses.
