Flags. you got? Level 7 ruin? Lakes?

The easiest way is probably to move your defending army out for an agreed upon time whilst another army takes it.

Yea, he can. Stick them in an outer domain.

EDIT: If you haven't got one, a friend of gloomy's at your level likely attacks you, from an outer domain of their own, from where they are looted by gloomy or another. That's how I can see the logistics of such an operation working, anyway.

See my post above yours. The one you part-quoted from. It explains how I can see such a system operating, given the constraints of the game. There may be differences in their operation, due to pitfalls I'm not aware of. For a better explanation, your best bet is to mail GloomyHatred in-game (as asked) and find out how they will transfer the flag from your domain to one of theirs.

If we alter the in-game wiki in the following ways:

1. A pit is not anymore to be considered a domain,
2. A pit cannot anymore contain buildings or house troops,

(Existing encyclopedia entry on pits which would have to be changed, as it cannot be right - can it?)

Then yes your words hold true.

If however it does in fact count as a domain and can be used to station troops, then it would be the domain troops were sent from, and would serve as a station to transfer flags between player levels, as any level of player may attack a given pit.

I'm not sure if a camp would count the same way or not.

no but if someone sends their army from a pit to steal your flag it would be held in the pit once they take it, then no matter what level you are if its in a pit any level player can attack you to steal said flag, god use your brain mate

*sigh* We were discussing using them to steal flags in an agreed-upon way, remember? If you have agreed upon something, one would hope you would have the common decency to follow through on your agreement, not "beat off any attack from them". But then, given your forum-demonstrated personality Bastedo, I suppose we do have every reason to suspect you would not honour any agreement made.

ermm see as stated experience would have answered that question if you sent mercenarys, mages and healers no troops would die and you don't even need 1 carrier to take flag

why don't you work your own battles out!

i'm quite capable of figuring out what forces i need to send
you miss the point of the original dilema of rescuing flags from other players of lower rank,

seems like you still don't understand the mechanics of the fighting model and once you gain into the world of heroes its a different ball game alltogether, certain scrolls, spells and skills all would easily allow no effect from any amount of towers

may i suggest reading the encyclopedia and come back once you've defeated a couple of aggresive ruins or await the day you decide your brave enough to try and see what a army can do, maybe when that day comes why don't you try attacking someone like me perhaps you'll actually see what difference a hero can make

again you just seem to be fishing for game tips

i thought we had already established how this is achievedbut heres simple version you might understand

lets assume you a level 1 player find a blue flag and its the only one you find, you then agree that me a level 5 player needing your flag to complete a set can have your flag,

i would arrange this by getting one of my level 1 friends to attack you to gain flag informing you this is happening and request you sanctuary troops at the time of attack

are you still with me

my level 1 friends attack is launched from a pit, upon succesful attack blue flag is transferred to the pit,

myself a level 5 player are free to attack a pit regardless of owners rank so i attack pit to take blue flag again arranged so no-one suffer losses. this would therefore complete my recovery of blue flag from you

all this of course requires co-operation, you see some level 1 players appreciate the support from level 5 players so this is a good way to secure yourself friends within the game and at no real cost to anyone

forget it if you can't understand the mechanics of each different army unit i don't see why i would need to explain this to a player that has nine months experience

tell SiZhe i'm looking forward to taking his pit near me in the next few days

Your towers and fortifications are only level two? God, and you're very close to levelling. You're going to get pulverised if your capital is caught with most of it's army out on level two.

Umm, if you move the whole army out, not leaving a single troop behind at all, then the towers won't do a whole lot, and the fortifications will only kill 120 troops. Hell, I'm level one, and those kinds of losses are acceptable to me if there are enough resources on offer, nevermind if there's a flag on offer that may result in actual monetary transfer as a reward for seizing it.

Not just for the big players. I'm speaking more from my own perspective here, but often its good to have an IOU from players you like, whether they be 1,2,3,4, or 5 stars at the moment. This is a social game as much as everything, and if you have a 'you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours' thing going on with players you get on with over a period of time, this leads to stronger unofficial alliances - things that don't show up in the game's code.

This can lead to big favours being pulled out of seemingly nowhere later on - because both players genuinely like one another. Plus, its how lasting friendships are forged.

Um, I don't have the right equipment to be anyone's 'bro'. But even if I did, no way in hell would I accept you as family of mine, thanks all the same.

The five million score is a sore point. I could do with it being lower than that. Problem is, when I kill troops I seem to get points for it, and I have no idea how to get rid of those points. It's lowering my estimate of how long I can stay at the level of 'all you can eat buffet'.

no once you have a set it doesn't matter where they are spread out that set transfers to capital city
