slow gameplay and no chat.

#1 Post by BAGSIK »

It would be nice if the game is a bit more faster to grow player base, make the game more enjoyable and addictive, free players are very important to the success of my lands, we should get more of them. Let them enjoy and get hooked up, when they do there is good chance they will upgrade or purchase anything.

By punishing them from the beginning or earlier in the game without having a taste of enjoyment you could easily lose them. Loyal addicted players all start as free players that had a good time with the game. I believe it is better to sacrifice BG withdrawal value in half (make it 200=1$) but make the game twice as fast and enjoyable.

It would be nice to make my lands a bit more interactive. A chat would be a good feature in addition to messages. Players are very social, they love to interact with other players. this adds to players enjoyment of the game. Its also a good venue to meet new like minded people and make new friends. It would be another good reason why they would play this game.

world chat= chat with everyone online across the empire and servers,

Faction chat= chat with online members of the same faction

Clan chat = chat with online clan members

alliance chat= chat with you allies

Private chat= one on one chat with a player

What do you think people? :)
Do you like my suggestion? :)

Gems
I agree; the emphasis on advantages from paying at the beginning of the game is a bit off-putting. There's nothing wrong with giving paying players advantages, but I think that it should come later in the player's development.

Chat
I don't agree about adding World Chat, I'm afraid; for me, it's the worst thing about many games. In some games it's full of childish racism, sexism, and obscenities, in others it's full of childish shouting matches. It would create a huge amount of work for the admins if they were to keep it sensible and adult. Faction chat would be pretty much the same, and as factions don't really play any part in the game, except in terms of faction points, etc., I don't think that it would be useful. Alliance chat wouldn't have the problems -- but it's hard to see that it would be much use.

A clan chat channel would be good, though; clans at the moment are not particularly clannish -- sending messages in the normal way is no substitute for a proper chat box.

Information & advice
As someone has said in another thread, the real barrier to people getting into the game is the lack of information and advice. It's too easy to make mistakes that can have long-term effects in the game, and (partly because of the dreadful translations) a lot of the gameplay is obscure.

I agree that world chat could be filled with spam but the admins could probably work around that and so i think its a good idea. I like the clan chat as well because that could also have the ability to take away worthless resource distribution messages. I personally don't think faction chat would be of any use, especially on the mining servers

Our clan and the one I was in before use "outside the game" chat channels, we even invite members of other clans from time to time - not everything revolves around the mylands server :)
